Job Description

Quick take: Axios is a growth-stage startup dedicated to providing trustworthy, award-winning content in an audience-first format. We are looking for a proven and innovative B2B sales professional to help us grow corporate sales for Axios Pro, our new paid subscription product!

Why it matters: This sales leader will play a critical role in building and supporting our growing team of sellers as we launch and take this product to market. In addition to day-to-day team management, it will be mission critical for this leader to partner closely with customer success, strategy, and product teams across Axios to ensure Axios Pro performs well and meets the needs and expectations of clients.                                                                                        

The details: Ideal candidates will embody an entrepreneurial spirit, a passion for Axios’ mission and have the following skills: 

  • Experience launching a new product while leading a sales team of varying experience levels 
  • A strong track record of establishing processes critical to sales organizations, including performance analysis (KPIs); revenue forecasting and budgeting; new product marketing; strategy and planning; sales enablement 
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to motivate those around you to produce exceptional results
  • Superb emotional intelligence and an eagerness to constantly build new skills as a manager and leader 
  • Ability to step in and close individual business when needed 
  • Comfort with a growing and ever changing fast-paced environment 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • B2B sales experience highly preferred
