business, adapts to today’s digital-first world. The digital transformation of Fortune
from a print magazine to a multi-channel media company is in full swing, and we
want you to be a part of it. The Engineering team works on multiple digital properties
at Fortune: from the editorial website, to the conferences site, Fortune video portal, as
well as our new product Fortune Connect. Our goal is to launch new products to build
on our core competencies of content, events, and education, to diversify our revenue
streams; and to improve the experience and monetization of existing properties.

We are seeking a “Web Developer” to join the Engineering team. As a Software
Engineer, you will report to the Head of Engineering and work to develop and support
applications and integrations related to Marketing Technologies to support and
enhance technical capabilities for Fortune. You will closely collaborate with our NYC
based Engineering team as well as our third-party development partners to develop
innovative digital solutions.]


  • 2 years of professional software development experience in digital media space.
    Experience integrating with different Marketing technologies and systems – subscription
    services, email marketing, customer data management, etc.
  • 2 years of experience of web development – HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript.
    Preferably with React/NextJS.
  • 1+ years of experience Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience working with different external technology vendors to expand capabilities.
  • Experience working within an Agile and/or Lean methodology, using JIRA, Confluence,
    or similar project management tools.
  • Experience with Git version control, and other software adjacent tools.
  • Ability to estimate development effort, efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Being a team player and ability to adapt, learn and move fast.
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
  • Practical knowledge of QA automation, functional & unit testing.
  • Practical knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerization.
  • Experience working with Linux/Mac development environments.
