The Company manufactures products under well-known brand names such as Sherwin-Williams, Dutch Boy, HGTV Home, Krylon, Minwax, Thompson's WaterSeal and many more.

Sherwin-Williams is also the nation's largest specialty retailer of paint, stains, coatings, wallcoverings and associated supplies and sundry items.  With more than 4,000 company-owned stores in North America, Sherwin-Williams offers a wide range of products and personalized service.

The company's other brands are sold through leading mass merchandisers, home centers, independent paint dealers, hardware stores, automotive retailers, and industrial distributors. The Sherwin-Williams Global Finishes Group distributes a wide range of products in more than 115 countries around the world.

In 2014, the company reported net sales of $11.13 billion, up 9.3%, and net income of $865.8 million.

Net sales in the Paint Stores Group increased 8% to $6.85 billion.

The company was founded by Henry Sherwin and Edward Williams in 1866.
