Oracle serves a wide range of industries from aerospace to healthcare, travel and utilities. It provides support on a variety of computing platforms and languages including Windows, Java, Linux and PHP.

Oracle technology can be found in nearly every industry and in the data centers of 100 of the Fortune Global 100 companies. Oracle is the first software company to develop and deploy 100 percent internet-enabled enterprise software across its entire product line: database, business applications, application development, and decision support tools.

The company has over 400,000 customers in 145 countries.

Oracle has made several major acquisitions over the past few years with the purchase of BEA Systems, Peoplesoft, Taleo and J.D. Edwards. Oracle announced the purchase of Taleo in February 2012, a maker of human resources software, for $1.9 billion.

In February, Oracle acquired BlueKai, an ad data management company. In December 2013, Oracle bought Responsys, a marketing software company for $1.39 billion.

In fiscal 2013, Oracle reported revenues of $37.2 billion, up slightly from the previous year, and net income of $10.9 billion. Software licenses and cloud subscription revenues were up 4% to $10.3 billion.

Oracle has more than 120,000 employees, including

• 35,000 developers and engineers

• 18,000 support personnel

• 18,000 consulting experts

Oracle has the largest developer community with over 15 million developers around the world.

The company was founded by Larry Ellison in 1997, a brash executive and one of the world's richest men.

Benefits

OracleFLEX offers a "cafeteria-style" benefits plan that gives employees more choices and greater flexibility than traditional health and insurance benefits plans. It allows you to design a custom benefits package for your unique situation. You are awarded flex credits that you can use to purchase benefits, so you can control the amount you spend on each benefit option, depending on your needs. If you have remaining credits, you may direct them toward taxable income or to your 401(k) savings plan, health care reimbursement, or dependent care reimbursement accounts.

OracleFLEX options include:
- Extensive selection of medical plans and options
- Preventive and comprehensive dental coverage
- Comprehensive vision care coverage
- Employee and dependent life insurance
- Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance
- Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance
- Pre-tax Health Care and Dependent Care Reimbursement Accounts
- Other after-tax options, including group legal services and personal insurance (auto, homeowner, rental, umbrella)

Investing in Your Future
Oracle 401(k)

Oracle's 401(k) Savings and Investment Plan offers you a way to plan for retirement and contribute to your long-term financial goals. You may contribute up to 40% of your cash compensation (salary, bonus, and commission) on a pre-tax basis, subject to an annual IRS dollar limit, through payroll deductions. Oracle may match some of your 401(k) contribution, and you decide where to invest your money by selecting from a portfolio of investment options. Because you use pre-tax dollars and your account growth is tax-deferred, your participation should lower your current federal and state income taxes.

Employee Stock Purchase Plan
Oracle's Employee Stock Purchase Plan lets you purchase Oracle common stock at a discounted market price. By enrolling in the plan prior to any offering period, you may contribute up to 10% of your cash compensation (salary, bonus, and commission) through payroll deductions.

GoalPlanner
Oracle offers the Fidelity GoalPlanner Automatic Investing Plan as a way for you to invest after-tax dollars through direct deposit payments into Fidelity mutual funds. This program, offered as a convenience for Oracle employees, is a retail account administered by Fidelity. Transfer fees and liquidation fees apply, as detailed in fund prospectuses.

Counseling
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

To help you address problems that threaten to upset the stability of your life at home or at work, the Oracle Employee Assistance Program offers referral services and confidential, personal assessment. EAP services may help with stress, depression, difficulties with children, divorce, alcohol abuse, drugs, job worries, marital, financial, or legal problems. The EAP is staffed by licensed professionals from the fields of psychology, clinical social work, and counseling. They are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An experienced intake specialist will arrange a confidential appointment with an EAP counselor. Services are free for up to three visits per family member per concern annually.

LifeWorks Family Resource and Referral Program
Oracle offers employees the LifeWorks Family Resource and Referral Program, a free employee benefit designed to help you balance your work, family, and personal responsibilities. This service is provided by Work/Family Directions, a leader in work/family programs and organizational consulting. The LifeWorks Program is an easy way for you to receive practical advice, useful materials, and referrals on all types of topics.

Vacation
Everyone needs a break once in awhile. As a full-time regular employee working at least 35 hours per week, you accrue 13 days of vacation a year (4.33 hours per pay period) for your first three years of employment, and 18 days a year (6 hours per pay period) after three years.
