In 2004, NiSource reported revenues of $6.66 billion and net income of $436.3 million.
The company has its origins back to 1853 when the Fort Wayne Gas Light Company is started. The company would get its name in 2003 when NIPSCO Industries is renamed NiSource Inc. NI stands for Northern Indiana.
