Landry's Restaurants operates nearly 500 high-end and casual dining restaurants nationwide under the names Landry’s Seafood, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Rainforest Cafe, Morton’s The Steakhouse, The Oceanaire, McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood, Chart House, Saltgrass Steak House, Claim Jumper and Mastro’s Restaurants. Landry’s also operates a group of signature restaurants, including Vic & Anthony's, Grotto, Willie G's and others.
Landry’s affiliated gaming division includes the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino, with locations in Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV; Atlantic City, NJ; and Biloxi, MS, with a fifth location coming to Lake Charles, LA in 2014.
Restaurants generally range in size from 5,000 square feet to 16,000 square feet. The Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex Cafe restaurants are larger, generally ranging in size from approximately 15,000 to 30,000 square feet with an average restaurant size of approximately 20,000 square feet.
The company was founded in 1980 with its
first location in Katy, TX.
The company went private in October 2010 in a $1.4 billion deal and is owned by CEO Tilman Fertitta. Shares are no longer publicly traded.
The Golden Nuggest Casino in Atlantic City began offering Internet gaming to NJ residents in 2013.
