Landry's Restaurants operates nearly 300 restaurants primarily under the names Landry’s Seafood House, Charley’s Crab, The Chart House, Saltgrass Steak House, Rainforest Cafe, Oceanaire and the Signature Group of restaurants.
Restaurants generally range in size from 5,000 square feet to 16,000 square feet. The Rainforest Cafe and T-Rex Cafe restaurants are larger, generally ranging in size from approximately 15,000 to 30,000 square feet with an average restaurant size of approximately 20,000 square feet.
The company also owns and operates the Golden Nugget Hotels and Casinos in downtown Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV.
The company was founded in 1980 with its
first location in Katy, TX.
The company went private in October 2010 in a $1.4 billion deals and is owned by CEO Tilman Fertitta. Shares are no longer publicly traded.
