Ithaca College, founded in 1892, is a private, coeducational college offering undergraduate and graduate programs in business, communications, health sciences and human performance, humanities and sciences, music, and interdisciplinary studies.
The campus is located about one hour south of Syracuse and is in the same city as Cornell University.
In fall 2008, Ithaca had 6,031 undergrad students and 417 graduate students. Over 44% of students come from New York with the rest from 47 other states and 79 countries.
Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year for undergraduates is $30,606 and about $11,162 for room and board.
The college employs 463 full-time faculty, 216 part-time staff and 987 administrative and staff employees.
Ithaca had a budget of $189.6 million in 2008.
The school began in 1892 as the Ithaca Conservatory of Music.
