Hexion has 94 production and distribution
facilities in various countries in the Americas, Europe
and the Asia-Pacific region, and approximately 7,000 employees.
For 2005, Hexion reported revenues of $4.5
billion and net loss of $87 million.
Borden Chemical, Inc., Resolution Performance
Products LLC (RPP) and Resolution Specialty Materials LLC (RSM)
merged (together with Bakelite AG, which Borden Chemical acquired)
to form Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc, in 2005. Hexion Specialty
Chemicals is owned by an affiliate of the private investment
firm Apollo Management, L.P.
