It has one of the largest contractor-owned heavy construction equipment fleets in the United States. Granite is organized into two divisions. The Branch Division, the larger of the two, is composed of 11 branch offices that serve local markets in the West, as well as serving the Washington and Alaska markets through our majority-owned subsidiary, Wilder Construction Company. The Branch Division has both public and private sector clients and targets new construction and maintenance projects as well as site preparation work for housing and commercial development. In addition, most branches are vertically integrated with an aggregates business, providing a key competitive advantage and a source of additional revenue. The Heavy Construction Division (HCD) pursues large, technically complex infrastructure projects nationwide. HCD has five regional offices across the country and pursues opportunities that often vary from a branch project in size, scope and complexity.
