Cingular Wireless is the largest wireless
company in the United States with more than 58 million customers.
Cingular Wireless was a joint venture between
the domestic wireless divisions of AT&T (Formerly SBC) and
BellSouth. With the merger of AT&T and BellSouth completed
this year, Cingular will be renamed AT&T and the Cingular
name will be phased out.
The company's headquarters are in Atlanta
with other major locations in Dallas and Redmond, WA.
Cingular serves 95 of the Fortune 100 companies
and counts more than 80 percent of the Fortune 500 and more than
1,200 federal, state, and local government agencies as customers.
Cingular Wireless was formed in April 2000
when SBC and BellSouth decided to combine their wireless operations.
Cingular acquired AT&T Wireless in October, 2004.

- Cingular Wireless 401(k) Savings Plan-Allows you to defer up to 50 percent of pay on
a before- or after-tax basis. Eligibility starts with your start
date. Cingular matches a portion of contributions.
- Catch-up Contributions for Your Cingular Wireless 401(k)
Savings Plan-If you will be age 50 or older as of December
31 of the applicable calendar year, you can make additional before-tax
contributions to your savings plan account.
- Cingular Wireless Pension Plan-After you work one year,
you are automatically enrolled in the pension plan.
- Employee Rate Plans-Plans with 1,000 and 500 anytime minutes for two
phone lines with really cool features and no monthly access fee.
Eligibility begins 90 days after your start date.
- Wireless Accessories and Equipment Discounts-Products
such as batteries, hands-free kits, faceplates, and handsets
are available to employees through our company-owned retail store
locations across the country. Eligility begins with your start
date.
- Time Off-You
are granted time off with pay. The number of days granted vary
based on your years of service.
- Holidays-All employees get six official holidays per
year: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
- Carryover Days-You have the flexibility to carry over
up to five paid time-off days each year that must be used during
a specific time period.
